I am unable to login to the LPC library databases from off-campus. What can I do?
Answer
You must be a currently registered student to have access to the library databases. If you are not, you will not be able to use the databases from off-campus.
If you are a currently registered student, you will use your WID number and your MyPortal password to log in. Your WID should automatically be in our system, along with your password.
A couple of common issues:
- Not capitalizing the “W” in the WID number: the W often must be capitalized for the login to work.
- Not accessing the databases through our library website: the databases are restricted to students, staff, and faculty, so you have to access them by clicking on the links through our website to open them, rather than going through a Google search or a browser link.
- Using your CLASS-Web password: on January 1st, 2025, LPC Library transitioned to using the MyPortal login to access library resources. If you haven't set up your MyPortal login, click on the link above to access it and get set up before trying again.
If you are still having trouble, please call us directly at 925-424-1150, use our chat on our library website, or email us at lpclibrarian@laspositascollege.edu, so that we can make sure you are in the system and further troubleshoot with you, as needed.
