How does Rapid Request work?

I see the gray "Rapid Request" link, but it doesn't take me to the article.

Answer

Thank you for your request! You can get this item through OneSearch using our RapidILL service. Here’s how:

  1. Start with OneSearch

  • Go to the LPC Library website and use the OneSearch tool to find the article you need.
  • Type in the title, author, or keywords, then press Enter to search.
  • Here is a direct link to the article page in OneSearch: OneSearch Article Page Link.

Check for Availability:

  • If LPC doesn’t have the article, but can get it, you'll see a link that says “Rapid Request: Get it for me from other libraries.”
  • This link lets you request the article digitally through RapidILL.

Log In:

  • Look for the yellow box that says, “Please sign in to request.”
  • Click “My Account” and log in with your MyPortal Login.

Submit Your Request:

  • You’ll see a request form where you can add any notes if needed.
  • Click Submit. You’ll get a confirmation email, and the article should arrive as a PDF link within 24 hours.

Track Your Request:

  • Look out for the email with the download link.
  • You can also log into your library account to check the status of your request.
